RE the art of getting really dumped
Ah, this is near and dear to my heart because I have a similar experience.
One time, well I guess over time, I dated this girl, and since my life is
riddled with personal problems and I am thoroughly immature, she eventually
couldn’t keep going out with me. For lots of reasons, the most urgent being
that her dad hated me, and her dad was a loser unemployed gun nut right
wing jack off with an authority complex. I could tell because her dad was a
lot like me, other than being on complete opposite ends of the personal
belief spectrum.
See she was a beautiful girl, and her mom was a very hard working lady, she
lived with her grandmother, and her dad had never worked in his life since
being injured in an accident on a ship yard. And he was a navy veteran. I
am sure this girl had daddy issues because its really the only reason she
could have possibly liked me.
One day after dating for nearly two and a half years, she tearfully told me
that we needed to break up. I knew it had to happen, and I really didn’t
see it coming as I spent most of my time focused on my miriad of personal
problems, and I knew it was hard for her, so at the time all I could do was
tell her I had a drug problem and thats why I had seemed so out of it.
If anyone is trying to get back together with a girlfriend by telling them
you have a drug problem I can tell you it is NOT a good idea. Probably the
worst thing you can do. It will just confirm for her why she broke up with
you and she will without question find someone else to cry to and fall in
love with.
So after telling her this I started watching the first few seasons of the
show “PSYCH” on my xbox 360 every night. And I started a torrid online love
affair with an unhappily married girl I went to high school with. Now for
those of you thinking PSYCH is a dumb show, its actually quite funny,
especially the little arguments over the GUS character’s nicknames. I do not
recommend having an affair with a married woman either, even if you only talk
on your computer, because now-a-days someone is going to find out.
Reading Allison’s story I couldn’t help thinking that every time I hear
the theme song for that show, it brings me back to this odd time in my life
when I had nothing to do but watch PSYCH and cyber sex my married friend.
And after a year or so it actually wasn’t a bad time at all. I really
actually like doing nothing and watching PSYCH.
